When a middle-aged woman is murdered and her death staged as a suicide, her troubled daughter begins her own investigation into her mother's life, searching for the person responsible for her death. She discovers much more than she bargains for, including decade old secrets, incest and erroneous identities that lead to the discovery of her real parents. Genre: Drama Synopsis: However, torn by guilt, Kristrun heads to the morgue and insists on seeing the body of her mother. Later at home, Kristrun finds a letter under a chair, which her father, whom she's never seen, sent to her mother. In it, he says he's heading back to Iceland after being away for more than thirty years. The reason for his return is a letter that Kristrun sent him, which was the reason for her argument with her mother to begin with. Kristrun's been in and out of mental hospitals and because of that lost the custody over her daughter BIRTA (13) who is about to be confirmed. They have a decent relationship but it's somewhat stilted. He quickly established himself as one of the most promising Icelandic cinematographers, working internationally with some of the best directors in Scandinavia. Ragnar spent two years in Los Angeles where he worked as a freelance director of photography. When back in Iceland in 1999, he focused his career on directing and is now recognized as a highly productive and visual director. The majority of his work thus far has been music videos and commercials for companies such as Spron Bank, Baugur Groupe, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi Pajero and Toyota. As one of Iceland's leading directors, "And god created murder" will be his first feature film. About the Producers: A few years back, Mr. Sigurdsson line produced the critically acclaimed "101 Reykjavik" with director Baltasar Kormakur. Whether producing a feature film, a quality documentary or a complicated foreign commercial making use of Icelandic nature, Mr. Sigurdsson has proven himself as one of Iceland's most prolific and experienced producer. Magnus has proven time and again his ability to bring projects in on time and on budget, without compromising the integrity of the project. Mr. Thordarson splits his time between Reykjavik and Los Angeles, currently producing and writing projects on both sides of the Atlantic. A couple of years ago, Mr. Thordarson produced a 2.5 million dollar independent feature film in the United States. It was shot on location around Los Angeles and distributed by Porchlight Entertainment. Besides that, Mr. Thordarson has several other film projects under his belt and all together, they've produced about six feature films combined. |
