"Handshakin' " through Europe

Sagafilm has just recently released a new image commercial produced for Landsbankinn.

The ad named "Handshake" profiles trust, commitment, communication and loyalty, symbolized by the handshake of clients in all ages and seen in different circumstances.

Shooting took place on location in 6 European countries in December; Iceland, Luxembourg, Spain, France, UK and the Netherlands. Locations differing from street corners, stadiums, restaurants, stores, canals, alleys and of course the affiliates of Landsbankinn in each country.

A great number of local actors were required for the ad and Sagafilm took care of the casting in all the countries, apart from Spain and France, where local casting bureaus were hired to help out.

The "Handshake" is the most extensive commercial shoot by Icelandic company in 2005, managed by a crew of 15 in all and on the road for 18 days.

The Agency, Gott Fólk, with Gary Wake, Jón Árnason and Sverrir Briem, commissioned Sagafilm to produce and direct the commercial. On behalf of Landsbankinn, Viggó Ásgeirsson, supervised the work.
