Dælan. New ads for Síminn
The Icelandic word "Dælan" can mean a pump - or to talk almost without breathing - in this case, the new commercial for Siminn, Iceland Telecom - is named Dælan explaining the common action of downloading.
The series of ads promoting Dælan tell us about the comfort of being able to download an application keeping track on everything you need for modern, mobile communication. You can send group SMS's, you can exchange MMS, take care of your music downloads, ring tones and a lot of other actions are conveniently collected into one program. The ad is produced by Sigurður Freyr and in multiple versions. The commercials were recorded over one weekend at beautiful locations at Laugavatn in a world made to simulate the nerds from the 90’s. The agency is EnnEmm, Þorsteinn Guðmundsson wrote the script and directors were Samuel & Gunnar.
